Adrian attended Westville Junior and senior Primary Schools and matriculated from Westville Boys High School in 1990. After school he completed the following tertiary activities and studies: 1. He qualifid as an Electronic Engineer (majoring in Avionics) from the Tswane University of Tehnology; 2. Private pilot's licence; 3. Bachelor of Commerce Honours from University of Natal; 4. Chartered Accountancy (CA AUS, not active); Certified Public Accountant (CPA ASA NC Active).
He worked as an avionics engineer. He also worked in Public Accounting at Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Ernst & Young and at Wells Fargo Bank.
During 2005 Adrian and his wife, Janice (still unmarried) both worked for Pricewaterhouse Coopers and were seconded by their employer to branches in the USA. Janice was seconded to Charlotte, North Carolina and Adrian seconded to Minneapolis, Minnesota. During 2007 Adrian was transferred to Charlotte NC, where he and Janice met.. They became citizens in 2018 and lived most of the time in Charlotte, NC. At present Adrian is a VP Audit at Wells Fargo bank, one of th largest banks in the USA.
At school Adrian played tennis, hockey, squash and participated in athletics.
